Seeking a skilled, caring individual to lead the Strong West Emergency Department. Candidate must have demonstrated leadership, clinical and management skills with a desire to work collaboratively in an off-campus environment. The NM will oversee the provision of care for a wide array of patients, both adult and pediatric. Responsibilities include oversight of staffing, education, and performance improvement, quality of care, program development, and unit budgeting. Strong interpersonal skills & communication skills necessary. IICARE skills are a must, as well as flexibility and a positive attitude. MS degree preferred, 3-5 years experience required or equivalent combination of education & experience. All interested applicants submit resume to Nursing Recruitment, Box 619-19. Requires a Master's Degree in Nursing or related field and an active New York State license in good standing. Applicants will have 5 years experience as an RN with one to three years of leadership experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The Nurse Manager directs all aspects of patient care, which includes managing nursing personnel and material resources in a cost-effective manner, unit planning and the initiation of innovative clinical and management practices with emphasis on retention strategies.
