Utility Distribution Engineer

The Central Utilities, Utility Distribution Engineer provides design and project management for campus steam, hot water, chilled water, domestic water, natural gas and sewer projects for University of Rochester Central Utilities. When necessary, provides supervision of utility distribution crew. Maintains utility distribution system, documentation and records. Reviews new building utility connections and systems design. Knowledgeable in the principles and practices of underground utility engineering and construction. Works independently with minimal supervision, reports to the Central Utilities, Manager Utility Distribution Systems.
Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering and at least 5-10 years of experience in design and/or commissioning of building HVAC and/or electrical systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of Building Control Systems and energy metering or mechanical/HVAC construction and commissioning equivalent preferred.
