Responsibilities

Wilmot Cancer Institute is looking for a Nurse Manager who is eager to join the Gynecologic Oncology team managing a busy practice with eight physicians, three APPs and 7 Registered Nurses. This is an exciting opportunity to grow with the Wilmot Cancer Institute gaining experience and exposure to our regional practice model, providing cancer care to patients across our catchment area. We are looking for a dedicated onsite leader, decision maker and partner. This position is pivotal in collaborating with Wilmot regional offices and the growth in clinical trials. The nurse manager will be accountable for managing staffing, practice needs and budget. Strong communication skills are necessary in order to collaborate with multidisciplinary hospital partners to achieve positive patient outcomes. MS degree or completed within 5 years of appointment required. 2-3 years nursing leadership experience including non-malignant hematology experience is preferred.

Qualifications

Requires a Master's Degree in Nursing or related field and an active New York State license in good standing. Applicants will have 5 years experience as an RN with one to three years of leadership experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The Nurse Manager directs all aspects of patient care, which includes managing nursing personnel and material resources in a cost-effective manner, unit planning and the initiation of innovative clinical and management practices with emphasis on retention strategies.
