Wilmot Cancer Institute - Infusion Center - Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

Responsibilities
Great opportunity to work in the Infusion Centers at various Wilmot Cancer Institutes. The primary location will be Strong Memorial Hospital, but the APP could on occasion, cover the infusions centers in Batavia, Webster, Highland Hospital or Canandaigua. The APP will provide care to oncology patients receiving chemotherapy and medical therapies for management of malignancies. Direct patient care responsibilities include evaluation and management of acute illness and chronic symptom management, chemotherapy and drug reactions, patient, family, and staff education. The advanced practice provider will be working closely with several different oncology teams including solid malignancy and hematology, therefore the APP must demonstrate excellent communication skills with proven ability in exercising independent judgment and initiative. There is a robust on-boarding plan. The APP will participate in the education of learners (students and new employees), using clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing and skill training. Must be NYS eligible for NP or PA certification.
Qualifications
Nurse Practitioner
Require a Master’s degree (or pending) as a Nurse Practitioner, an active New York State Registered Nurse license in good standing, an active/pending New York State Nurse Practitioner licensure in good standing and current/pending national certification as an Nurse Practitioner.
Physician Assistant
Requires completion (or pending) of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant program, an active/pending New York State Physician Assistant licensure in good standing and current/pending national certification as a Physician Assistant by the NCCPA ( National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants)
NPs and PAs will demonstrate clinical competence, superior verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal effectiveness and customer relations skills, computer competence and must have an active desire to learn. The APP will participate in the education of learners (students and new employees), using clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing and skill training.

Pay Range
Pay Range: $ 92,997 - $139,506 Annually
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Schedule: FT position available, Monday through Friday, primarily daytime hours. 5, 8 hours shifts. Rotating weekends
